Let Your Body Love What it Loves
Today we lost a great poet and a personal hero, Mary Oliver.
Her poem “Wild Geese” in particular has lived in my mind and body for years and has been a healing balm. Her words, beginning with the powerful opening line “You do not have to be good,” melt my heart each time.
Oliver offered her readers understanding, acceptance and permission to return to their deepest truth, so that they can once again find their place “in the family of things.”
She was truly a gift. May her memory be a blessing.
