Spring Equinox: Shift Happens

Spring Poem

The arrival of spring marks the season of hope, love and renewal. The air is sweeter, the days are longer and the nights are warmer.

The shifting seasons are reminders that everything is constantly changing,
And so are you.

You needed the season of hibernation to rest and restore. To be still, lay low and go inward for sometime.

But a new time has arrived, and is calling you to go out and play. To be seen, to connect, to love again.

To crawl out of your safe place. To clear out your house, open up your doors, and let in fresh air.

Are you ready to take off the heavy layers and bare your skin again; to feel the wind and warm sun that have returned to embrace you?

It may feel risky to trust in the arriving change, to believe that things can truly be different.

It takes courage to soften our hardened sense of selves and our ideas about the way things were/are/and will be.

When your new season arrives will you be ready to shed your shell and welcome the new life springing forward?

In the words of Hafiz, “How did the rose ever open its heart and give to this world all its beauty? It felt the encouragement of light against its being. Otherwise, we all remain too frightened.”
